It all started when I found Okie, a scruffy little kitten, in an alley behind a kopi tiam in Yishun. It was raining hard, and there he was, curled up and trembling, barely strong enough to stand. He looked so fragile, I knew I couldn’t leave him there. So I brought him home.

That was just the beginning. Okie was underweight, weak, and suffering from the typical health issues that strays deal with. The vet told me he needed a proper diet of nutrient-packed kibbles and supplements. But here’s the problem: good kibbles are unbelievably expensive, while the cheap stuff is packed with fillers and barely any real nutrition. I went from pet store to pet store, checking ingredients and price tags, and felt so frustrated. I couldn’t afford the expensive brands, and the affordable ones weren’t going to help Okie recover.

Even when I splurged, Okie wouldn’t touch them. I tried to make the supplements taste better, mixing them with wet food and treats, but he’d spit them out or refuse to eat. Watching him struggle like this was heartbreaking, and I started to feel desperate. How was he ever going to get better if he wouldn’t eat the food he needed?

So, I started researching, talking to vets all over Singapore, and consulting with pet nutritionists. I spent countless hours experimenting, sometimes in my own kitchen, trying different ingredients and flavors until I finally landed on a formula that was 92% real poultry, just like the ancestral diet cats would have in the wild.
